Before you write
A few details help us answer faster. If you are reporting an error, include the address of the page and quote the sentence or figure you think is wrong; if you have a source showing the correct information, add it. If your question is about an offer shown on our site, tell us which country section you were in and the name of the lender or broker. If you are writing about your personal data, tell us which email address you used when you contacted us before, so that we can find the messages.
What we can help with
- Errors on the site. If a page contains a mistake, an outdated rule or a broken link, tell us which page and what is wrong. We correct factual errors as quickly as we can.
- Questions about our content, our methods or how offers are shown. Our page on how we compare answers many of these.
- Your personal data. Requests for access, correction or deletion, as described in our privacy policy.
- Partnerships and press, if you represent a lender, a broker or a media outlet.
What we cannot help with
Banknorden is a comparison service, not a lender. We cannot see loan applications, we do not know whether yours has been approved, and we cannot change a lender's decision, a repayment plan or the terms of an agreement. For anything about an application or a loan, contact the lender or broker you applied with; their contact details are in the agreement and on their website.
Please do not send us identity numbers, bank details, account passwords or copies of documents. We do not need them and will not ask for them. If anyone contacts you claiming to be Banknorden and asks for an upfront fee or your bank login, it is not us.
Requests about your personal data
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Send the request to the same address and write "personal data" in the subject line. Because we do not run user accounts or take loan applications, we usually hold very little: the emails you have sent us and, if you clicked an offer, a short technical record of the click. We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you before we act on it. Our privacy policy explains what we process, why, and for how long.
Complaints about a lender
If you have a complaint about a lender, first complain to the lender itself, in writing. If you are not satisfied with the answer, each country has independent bodies that can help, such as consumer authorities, financial ombudsman services and the authorities that supervise lenders. The country sections of Banknorden explain where to turn in Finland, Spain, Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
Complaints about Banknorden
If you are unhappy with something we have published or with how we have handled your request, write to us and explain what went wrong. We will look into it and reply. If your complaint concerns how we handle personal data and you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Danish Data Protection Agency or the data protection authority in your country, as described in our privacy policy.
If you are struggling with debt
If you are worried about paying your bills or your loans, get help early, before payments are missed: that is when you have the most options. In the Nordic countries, public debt-advice services help free of charge; in Spain, municipal consumer offices and consumer associations can advise you. Our country sections name the services in each market and explain what they do.
