We compare, we do not lend

Banknorden is a comparison and information service run by Seofy ApS (CVR 38069187), Denmark. We do not grant loans, we do not decide who gets credit and we do not take part in the loan agreement. When you choose an offer, you apply directly with the lender or with the broker that presents it. The lender assesses your application, decides whether to lend and sets the final terms in the agreement you sign with them.

Because we are not a lender, we cannot see your application, change a lender's decision or give you a loan ourselves. Questions about an application, a repayment or an agreement go to the company you applied with.

Information, not personal advice

Our guides explain how loans work, what they cost and which rules apply in each of our markets. They are general information. They do not take your income, your other debts or your plans into account, and they are not financial, legal or tax advice. Before you borrow, consider whether you need the loan and whether you can repay it on time, and seek free debt advice if you are already struggling with payments.

We work to keep our content accurate and up to date, and we cite the public sources we rely on. Rules, rates and lender terms change, however, and an error can slip through. The binding information is the lender's own: its standard European consumer credit information and the agreement you are offered. Read both before you sign.

How offers reach the site

Every offer you see on Banknorden is supplied by a partner – a lender or a broker – running a campaign in that country. Offer details such as rates, amounts, terms and representative examples are supplied by the partners and shown as they provide them. They can change at any time, and the offer you receive after applying may differ from the one shown here.

The order in which offers appear is set by the offer feed. It is not a quality ranking or a recommendation. Not every lender in a market is included, so the offers we show are not a complete list of the market. Compare offers yourself on the figures that matter: the effective annual rate, the total amount to repay and the terms.

How we are paid

Banknorden is free for you to use. We are paid a commission by some of the partners shown on the site when a loan is applied for or taken out through a link on our pages. Those links are marked as advertising. We work with selected lenders and brokers and are not independent of them. The commission funds the site. Because of it, please treat an offer's place on the page as neutral, never as our advice; our guides concentrate on teaching you to weigh costs yourself, not on pointing you to one lender.

Our lender reviews describe what each company publishes about itself and what public registers show. We do not publish ratings, scores or user reviews, and partners cannot pay to change what a review says.

Calculators and examples

Our calculators and worked examples use the figures you enter or the assumptions we state, and standard formulas. They leave out fees unless we say otherwise, so a real offer usually costs more than the calculation shows. Use them to understand how amount, rate and term affect the cost, not as a quote.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to lenders, brokers, authorities and other sources. We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of websites we do not run. When you follow a link, the other site's terms and privacy policy apply.

Our responsibility

We cannot be responsible for decisions you make on the basis of general information on the site, for the terms a lender offers you, or for a lender's or broker's handling of your application.
